Staff Profiles
Create operator and manager profiles for the workspace.
Staff profiles define who can work inside GChat and which group each team member belongs to.
Staff roles are Operator and Manager. Their visible pages and actions also depend on permissions.
Staff Profiles Table
The Staff page lists all staff profiles.

Qualification
The Qualification value is a workspace score from 0 to 100 that can describe operator skill, priority, or suitability for a workflow.
Use one consistent scale across the team. Do not assume it changes routing unless your organization has configured a workflow that uses it.
Roles
| Role | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Operator | Processes assigned conversations and client context. |
| Manager | Oversees conversations and team workflows with broader permissions. |
Status
The Status column shows whether the staff profile is currently online or offline.
Use it to understand whether an operator is available while reviewing team setup or troubleshooting chat distribution.
Groups
Each staff profile should belong to a group. The group connects the operator to the integration or workflow they should handle.
See Groups for group setup.
Best Practices
- Use real names so managers can identify operators quickly.
- Keep email addresses current.
- Assign every operator to the correct group.
- Review inactive or outdated profiles regularly.
- Delete profiles only after confirming they are no longer needed for audit or reporting.
